Makael, a student at Mississippi State, is a powerful example of how God transforms lives through relationships and the gospel. StuMo staff met Makael in the university gym and quickly formed a connection with him. Makael was a gifted leader with considerable influence on campus but was living a life far from God.
StuMo staff built a relationship with Makael and eventually had the opportunity to share the gospel with him. As they walked through the message of Jesus together, Makael realized that the life God was calling him to was vastly different from the one he had been living. After several weeks of reflection, Makael made the decision to fully commit to following Jesus.
Makael’s transformation didn’t stop there. He became the first student from Mississippi State to attend Kaleo, and he returned for a second summer—this time as a leader, helping others grow in their faith.
In just a year and a half, Makael has grown significantly in his faith and leadership. He has boldly shared the gospel with his family and friends, influencing those closest to him and those he interacts with on campus. Makael is a tremendous answer to prayer and a powerful example of what StuMo staff are praying for the Lord to do at Mississippi State.
