Francis, a student at Cebu Institute of Technology, was living like many Cebuano college students; driven by excitement, romance, and hoping to get a good job after graduation. Few would guess that behind his outward confidence, he had a nagging anxiety about what his life would amount to. One of our StuMo staff had shared the gospel with him at the beginning of the pandemic. While the news of Jesus being able to answer his questions was intriguing, he wasn’t ready to give up his college life. That was until a serious motorcycle accident shook up his life. He was bedridden for two months and during that time he read a list of verses from the Bible a StuMo staff had shared with him. They had the opportunity to discuss these verses at length. Coming close to eternity has a way of setting one’s priorities right and Francis was ready to commit his life to Christ. Since then, he has been steadily growing in his faith and sharing his transformed life with others on his campus, and wants others to experience the life-changing power of Jesus that he has experienced.
