When Maia arrived at the University of Georgia from San Diego, she had virtually no spiritual background and no plans to explore faith in college. But during the first few weeks of her freshman year, God had other plans.
Through a casual faith conversation with girls in her Kappa Delta pledge class, Maia found herself unexpectedly intrigued. What started as curiosity soon became a consistent pursuit—she began attending weekly discussions, hearing about Jesus and the Bible for the very first time.
During the spring semester, Maia met with a StuMo staff member who shared the gospel with her. That day, Maia joyfully decided to place her faith in Jesus and make Him Lord of her life. She began studying the book of Mark alongside the staff member and a friend from her sorority, and it was through God’s Word that real transformation began to take root.
As she spent time in God's word, Maia’s priorities shifted from living for herself to living for Christ. Over the summer, her relationship with God deepened, shaping her convictions and giving her a new purpose.
Now, as a sophomore living in the Kappa Delta house, Maia is boldly sharing her faith with others. She’s leading Bible studies with sorority sisters and praying that God would use her story to reach girls who, like her, came to college not knowing Jesus.
