Annual Report 2025

Thank You for Your Trust in Us

When George Cormack arrived in Yukon Territory he was 20,000 years too late to name its main river.  The Han people had traveled over an icy land bridge long before him and named the river “Tr’ondek,” meaning “hammer stone water.”   The Han used its big river rocks to hammer in the stakes for their fishing nets.

But George was right on time to re-name the river.  One day he noticed sparkling up at him the glitter of gold.  The sunlight had been highlighting that massive treasure every day for thousands of years.  But on August 16, 1896, George announced to the world, “There’s gold in the Klondike River!” A gold rush began as 100,000 “Klondikers” set out north to the Yukon. 40,000 made it there to seek their fortune.

On campus today, there is a spiritual gold rush!  Long ago, Jesus revealed, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”  He is still calling his people to a gold rush called the Great Commission.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

I hope you will read and be encouraged about a close knit group of “Great Commissioners” who have set out to actively make disciples in the US and Asia.  StuMo staff and students have traveled to rivers of influence like Kansas State, Osaka, Mississippi State, Cebu, Texas A&M and the University of Utah – and many other locations worldwide. They sense a spiritual awakening.  They are looking for gold – spiritual treasure – in the eyes and hearts of our next generation. StuMo staff and students are presenting the hope of eternal life – plus a life of peace and joy today in the midst of disappointment and turmoil.

Jesus died to give us true life. Thank you for joining with us to offer this pearl of great price to our next generation of leaders.  They need the hope of being loved forever by the Father.  That’s worth more than gold!

George moved to California, left his wife, married a brothel madam and squandered most of his wealth.  He later died in Vancouver and was placed in an unmarked grave while his family fought over his remaining earthly treasure. Ironically, he once wrote to his sister Rose about the Klondike Gold Rush, “This is only one chance in a lifetime, and I must make the best of it.”

George was right in one sense. We get only one chance at life. Read here about treasures you are placing safely in heaven!  Thanks for your trust in us.

University of Utah

What an incredible first semester on campus at the University of Utah! In just a few short months, we’ve seen tremendous momentum as students encounter the message of hope and purpose found in Christ.

Our team has spent countless hours in dining halls, fraternity and sorority houses, the rec center, and the library—meeting students, building relationships, and engaging in meaningful spiritual conversations.

Because of the University of Utah’s unique draw—nestled near world-class ski resorts—students come from across the United States and around the globe to study here. Already, we’ve had the opportunity to connect with students from California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Massachusetts, Vermont, Alaska, Texas, Norway, and more.

This fall, we held our very first StuMo Night with sixty students in attendance, and more than seventy students have already participated in a StuMo Bible study during the first half of the semester alone.

We’re deeply encouraged by how God is moving and are praying that this foundation will grow into a lasting spiritual movement. Please pray that God would continue to raise up laborers at the University of Utah for many years to come.

UTSA

The need for Christ-centered leaders on college campuses is greater than ever—and this fall, our full launch at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) has become part of the solution. With more than 38,000 students, UTSA represents an incredible opportunity to influence the next generation of leaders for Christ.

From the start, our team has hit the ground running—hosting 10+ Bible studies each week and engaging over 100 students who are exploring faith on a largely secular campus. One of the most unique aspects of UTSA has been the open doors with athletic teams. We now have meaningful connections with the cheer, track, cross country, powerlifting, football, and volleyball teams—strategic spaces where we’re able to plant the gospel right where future leaders are being formed.

We have met many students that remind us that college students really are ripe for harvest. This is the heart of our mission—seeing brokenness on the college campus transformed into bold faith and lifelong impact.

Pittstburg State Univ.

As we look back on our first few months at Pitt State, we are deeply grateful for how God has gone before us—opening doors and softening hearts in ways only He can. By His grace and through the faithful work of our staff team, we’ve already met hundreds of athletes, hosted many of them in our homes, launched multiple Bible

studies across different athletic teams, and witnessed students place their faith in

Christ.

Our vision is to see students from both athletic teams and Greek houses come to know Jesus personally, live boldly for Him, and begin making disciples of others.

Since arriving on campus in August, we’ve been reminded again and again of the immense spiritual need on the college campus—and of God’s heart to raise up laborers to reach the lost. Stories like Ryan’s show just how powerfully God can use one life to influence many.

“The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; in its time I will do this swiftly.”— Isaiah 60:22.

We are trusting God to fulfill this promise here at Pitt State, raising up a “mighty nation” of spiritual leaders for Him!

Ministry After College

Our vision is to meet college students, reach them with the gospel, establish them in their faith, equip them for ministry and send them out as laborers for a lifetime.

StuMo Alumni Multiplication Program Austin, TX

As students graduate and begin their careers, the mission doesn’t stop—it multiplies. In our Lonestar regions, StuMo’s Alumni Multiplication Program equips graduates to keep making disciples beyond the college campus.

Launching each September in Austin, Texas, the program brings together recent StuMo graduates for weekly disciple-making groups and monthly ministry training. Graduates are equipped to start Bible studies and share the gospel with the people around them—whether that’s a neighbor, a coworker, someone at the gym, or even a pickleball partner.

Everything we hope students learn and live out on campus is now being applied in their workplaces and communities—and God is faithfully using it! One powerful example is Meredith, a University of Texas graduate who joined the program and led a friend from work, Emily, to Christ. Meredith built a friendship with Emily, brought her into Christian community, and shared the gospel using the same tools she learned through Kaleo and practiced on campus. Now, Emily is walking with Jesus and learning what it means to follow Him. The very next week, Emily brought her fiancé to meet with Meredith—and together, they shared the gospel with him too. This is a powerful glimpse of what can happen when graduates continue to live on mission—impacting lives wherever God leads them.

Easton

Edmond, OK

Easton, a 2022 graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma, is now a financial advisor, husband, and dad to two young children—yet he continues to make time to bring the gospel to those who have never heard it.

During his time in college, Easton spent multiple summers at Kaleo, StuMo’s nine-week discipleship program, where he learned to confidently share his faith and developed a heart for God’s global mission. It was there he realized that he had a role to play in reaching those who have never heard the name of Jesus.

After graduating, Easton began serving among Afghan refugees who had relocated to Oklahoma City—building friendships, meeting practical needs, and sharing the hope of Christ with families who had fled war and hardship. That same heart for the unreached later led him to jump all in with an opportunity at his local church to get involved with a ministry in northern Mexico reaching the Tarahumara—a people group with no word in their language for “hope.” This coming February, Easton will take his fourth short-term trip to continue strengthening relationships and sharing the gospel among the Tarahumara. At home, he faithfully serves in his local church, leading and advocating for this people group. He and his wife have hosted a 6 a.m. weekly prayer gathering over the past year, inviting others to intercede for the Tarahumara and join in God’s mission. Easton’s story is a powerful reminder that the foundation built through StuMo continues to bear fruit far beyond college—reaching across borders and generations with the hope of Christ.

Kaleo

Kaleo is a Greek word which means, “to call or invite.” Calling college students to lives of meaning and purpose is the fastest, most strategic way to grow the body of Christ. It’s the sure path for a revived, reinvigorated and growing church. Kaleo is often called, “The Summer of Your Life.” Kaleo is designed to engage and empower tomorrow’s leaders. Thank you for supporting the Kaleo Summer Projects in Orlando, Gulf Shores and Palm Coast.

Kaleo 2025

“Kaleo was an incredible experience. It allowed me to see what it looks like to live a Christ centered life, and showed me that I can live this way too. It gave me a strong community that helped me grow in my relationship with the Lord, and pushed me to be the person God intended for me to be. Kaleo was the best summer of my life!”

- Finn, University of Wyoming

“God used Kaleo to grow my heart and deepen my understanding of what it means to truly follow Jesus. He also showed me the importance of missions and how to use His blessings to become not just a disciple, but a disciple maker.”

SMC (StuMo Conference)

SMC is StuMo’s 4-day, 3-night winter conference where students experience what it looks like to follow Christ in college and live life with purpose. At SMC, students experience powerful main sessions with dynamic speakers, interactive breakout sessions tailored to their growth, and meaningful connections with peers from their campuses—all in a fun, energizing environment.

This past January, we had nearly 4,000 students from 80 different campuses attend SMC in Branson, MO and Dallas, TX. Each year, we see many students begin a relationship with Jesus or take bold steps of obedience to follow Him while at SMC. Join us in praying that SMC would spark lasting transformation—equipping students to lead boldly for Christ on their campuses and throughout the world.

"I’ve struggled with anxiety for so long and never knew how to overcome it—I thought I never would. But what once seemed impossible now feels completely different. I’m so excited to finally start my life with Christ at the center of it. This was the best weekend of my life!”

- Sydney, Texas State

“SMC was the first time I heard the gospel laid out clearly for me. At SMC, I attended breakouts that taught me how to read the Bible and apply it in my life. I made friends with girls in my sorority who continued to process what it would mean to follow Jesus with me, which led to me giving my life to Christ a month later!"

- Mackenzie, Missouri State

“SMC was truly life-changing. Being surrounded by other students who were serious about their faith opened my eyes. I came in knowing about Christ, but I left wanting to know Him personally. I’ll forever be grateful for how God used that winter break at SMC.”

- Eamon, University of Nebraska

STUMO IN JAPAN

This year, our teams in Japan continued to invest deeply across multiple campuses and throughout the city, all with the goal of building and strengthening our two growing church plants.

A major highlight from the spring was the launch of the NextGen Nihon Church Network (NGN Network), a new initiative designed to formally connect our church plants, encourage our members, share resources, develop leaders, and—Lord willing—plant even more churches in the years ahead. The vision of NGN is to see a church planted by every major university in the urban megacities of Japan. We kicked off the network with a joint celebration service in May—a powerful time of worship, fellowship, and gratitude.

During spring break and summer, we hosted multiple short-term teams from StuMo stateside. The summer teams spent about six weeks in the city meeting students, building relationships, and helping launch a new event we hosted called “ECHO.” We invited a local Japanese pastor and worship leader to be our keynote guests, and their messages encouraged everyone who attended. The event was a great success, drawing new students and strengthening relationships across our ministries.

One of most exciting parts of the year has been witnessing life transformation firsthand. We’ve had the privilege of baptizing multiple students and young adults, with several more preparing to take that step before the end of the year. One young woman who attended our ECHO event recently made a decision to follow Jesus and is eager to be baptized soon.

We’re praising God for His faithfulness and for another year of laboring to reach and disciple the next generation in Japan.

Thank You!

Thank you for your generous giving and your gracious prayers this year. They have been instrumental in God's work through Student Mobilization. We believe God can use us together even more as we trust Him in 2026!

Below are four giving ideas for investing spiritually in the next generation through StuMo. We are grateful for you and look forward to partnering with you in 2026!

Four Ways to Give

1

Give to the ministry of a StuMo staff person as a ‘thank you’ for investing in your college student.

2

Give an extra 13th monthly gift to the ministry of your StuMo staff person or family. This strategic gift keeps our staff funded and on campus.

3

Give to one of our campus funds. A gift to our campus funds will enable our staff to provide student scholarships to our SMC conference or cover costs of our large group worship gatherings.

4

Give to StuMo’s general fund and invest in StuMo’s overall vision.
